Join the holiday street celebration at Lake Devo on December 5

Students, faculty and staff are invited for free treats, skating, live entertainment and more

Bring your skates to the holiday party and join in the fun.

Do you need a break from studying for exams? Does your idea of fun include lounging in Muskoka chairs, watching a live performance and sipping on a hot coffee? Do you like free things?

If the answer is yes, you’re in luck because TMU Frost is taking place on Monday, Dec. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m! The university holiday celebration is being hosted by President Lachemi for all faculty, staff, and students at Lake Devo. Bring your own skates and stay for the entertainment, food and warm beverages. 

Enjoy a photo booth, Muskoka chairs around Lake Devo, an evergreen TMU Frost Forest on Gould Street, and free food and a hot Balzac's beverage for anyone with a OneCard. (Please bring your OneCard to ensure you get an activity voucher). The celebration will include performances by the Toronto Concert Choir, varsity figure skater Alyona Ivanova and many others. 

Also on Monday, TMU is hosting an exam de-stress event which will offer a free bag lunch of Halal beef or vegan chili and gluten-free cookies to students from 12-2 p.m. at the Student Learning Centre.  Grab your chili then walk through TMU’s Frost street-fair!

What: Street fair-style outdoor university-wide party 
When: Monday, Dec. 5 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Where: Lake Devo (Gould St and Victoria Street)
Activities: Interactive photo booth; Insta-worthy TMU Frost Forest; skating on Lake Devo; Muskoka chairs on Gould Street; performances at the Performance Tent.

Snacks: Sweet and savoury snacks provided by TMU Eats; artisanal, all natural popsicles provided by The Pop Stand (external link) ; All-natural Wholesome protein bars (external link) ; any medium hot beverage from Balzac's (external link) .
