The Academic Lead, Postdoctoral Fellows, works closely with the Vice-Provost and Dean and the YSGPS team to support and enhance postdocs' academic, professional and social experiences at Toronto Metropolitan University through events, workshops, training and community building. This support includes working with various stakeholders, such as faculty Associate Deans, to advance their strategic initiatives. 

About Dr. Seth Dworkin

Dr. Seth Dworkin is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Canada Research Chair (Tier II). Since joining Toronto Metropolitan University in 2011, he has served in various roles, including most recently as the Dimensions Faculty Chair for the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science, in support of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in SRC and on the Board of Governors.

Dr. Dworkin holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University and an M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University. His research focuses on mitigating fossil fuel emissions and developing sustainable alternatives to combustion. He is actively involved in research on mitigating the atmospheric emissions of soot particles and the development of geothermal heating and cooling alternatives. Dworkin has supervised nine postdoctoral fellows and 33 graduate students and published 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles throughout his career.
