The NCFDD is an independent professional development, training, and mentoring community, including faculty, postdocs, and graduate students.

TMU and Massey College have an ongoing arrangement whereby tenured faculty who are approved for a full-year sabbatical may apply to be selected as a fellow at Massey.

The taking of paid leaves of absence by tenured faculty members for the purpose of academic refreshment or expansion of experience is to the benefit of the University and its students.
