Dr. Min Jeong (Minna) Hong
Overview
Minna Hong is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Ted Rogers School of Management. Her teaching interests are in auditing and financial accounting. Her research interests relate to financial reporting and disclosure and their impact on capital markets, and audit quality. She obtained a BA (Honours) from the University of Toronto and her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation while working as an auditor in Toronto. Minna completed her Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo in 2022. Her thesis examines how fair value accounting affects the financial reports’ ability to discipline managers’ voluntary disclosures and, thus, the timeliness of price discovery.
