Career Fairs

Thank you for your interest in Toronto Metropolitan University's Career Fairs!  Below you will find information about our planned in-person and virtual events.
 
There is a form to express your interest in participating for each corresponding event that should take you no longer than 5 minutes to complete.  Once we receive your form submission, we will be back in touch with you closer to the event with official registration information and logistics.
 
Note that the dates for in-person events may change based on venue availability and we will provide as much notice as possible should they need to be updated.

In-Person Career Fairs

  • What is it?  TMU’s “Careers in Technology” event is an in-person career fair that connects students and recent alumni looking for internships, co-ops and full time employment
  • Who should attend?  Organizations in the Technology sector (including but not limited to Software, Hardware, Consulting, SaaS, etc.)
  • Date: Tuesday, October 4th, 2022, 11am - 3pm
  • Venue:  TBD
  • Event Format: We will invite participating employers to arrive at 10am to start setting up their tables, and 1 representative from your organization will be invited to attend an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion breakfast session to network with students from equity deserving communities.  Students will be let in at 11am, lunch will be provided at 1pm and the fair will end at 3pm 
  • Price:  TBD.  There will be standard registrations as well as sponsorship opportunities available
  • Other:  You can bring up to 2 individuals from your organization.  Priority will be given to organizations that are hiring for multiple disciplines (not just technical roles).  For a full listing of all our supported faculties please reference this page

  • What is it?  TMU’s “Careers In Engineering And Architectural Science” event is an in-person career fair that connects students and recent alumni looking for internships, co-ops and full time employment
  • Who should attend?  Organizations in the Engineering and Architectural Science sectors (including but not limited to Consulting Firms, Manufacturing, Construction, Public Services, etc.)
  • Date: Tuesday, January 24th, 2023, 11am - 3pm
  • Venue:  TBD
  • Event Format: We will invite participating employers to arrive at 10am to start setting up their tables, and 1 representative from your organization will be invited to attend an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion breakfast session to network with students from equity deserving communities.  Students will be let in at 11am, lunch will be provided at 1pm and the fair will end at 3pm 
  • Price:  TBD.  There will be standard registrations as well as sponsorship opportunities available

  • What is it?  TMU’s “Get Hired” career fair connects students and alumni from The Creative School looking for summer work opportunities, internships, and full-time positions with employers from leading-edge creative organizations
  • Who should attend?  Organizations looking to hire students from The Creative School (Media Production, New Media, Journalism, Professional Communication, Photography & Film, Graphic Communications, and more!) that are hiring for positions in multiple disciplines in the next 3-6 months
  • Date: Thursday, February 16th, 2023, 11 am - 3 pm
  • Venue:  TBD
  • Event Format: We will invite participating employers to arrive at 10 am to start setting up their tables, and 1 representative from your organization will be invited to attend an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion breakfast session to network with students from equity-deserving communities.  Students will be let in at 11 am, lunch will be provided at 1 pm and the fair will end at 3 pm 
  • Price:  TBD.  There will be standard registrations as well as sponsorship opportunities available

Virtual Career Fairs

  • What is it?  TMU’s “Careers in Health” session is a virtual career event that connects students and recent alumni looking for summer work opportunities, full-time positions, as well as internships and co-ops with employers from leading edge public sector organizations
  • Who should attend?  Organizations in the Healthcare Sector (including but not limited to Healthcare/Hospitals, Research & Innovation, BioTechnology, etc.), that are hiring for positions in multiple disciplines in the next 3-6 months
  • Date: Monday, November 7th, 2022, 5:00pm - 7:00pm
  • Platform:  Zoom
  • Event Format: This 2 hour session will feature Healthcare organizations that are looking to hire TMU students from multiple disciplines and faculties.  In the first portion of the event, employers will provide a short introduction about their organization and the types of roles they are hiring for. In the second portion of the event, each employer will host their own breakout room (with moderation assistance from Career, Co-op & Student Success Centre staff) and students can choose which employer(s) they wish to learn more about, similar to dropping by an employer's booth at an in-person career fair
  • Price:  $200 + HST, and you can bring up to 4 individuals from your organization  
  • Other:  Space is limited and offered on a first come, first serve basis.  Given the interdisciplinary nature of the session, priority will be given to organizations that are hiring students from multiple faculties

  • Who should attend?  Organizations in Public Sector (including but not limited to Federal/Provincial/Municipal Government, Cities/Townships, agencies, crown corps, etc.), that are hiring for positions in multiple disciplines in the next 3-6 months
  • Date: Thursday, November 17th, 2022, 12:00pm - 2:00pm
  • Platform:  Zoom
  • Event Format: This 2 hour session will feature Public Sector organizations that are looking to hire TMU students from multiple disciplines and faculties.  In the first portion of the event, employers will provide a short introduction about their organization and the types of roles they are hiring for.
