Co-facilitated by Jared Wesley, Political Science Professor at the University of Alberta, and Ryan Dunford, Public Servant-in-Residence at the University of Alberta, this interactive session will guide participants through the essentials of developing an effective policy brief. The session will begin with a discussion on how governments make decisions and the factors that shape policy choices. Participants will then be guided through how to craft a clear and accessible message, including how to structure a brief, tailor it to the intended audience, and communicate recommendations with impact. The session will close with a Q&A period.

Please note that the training will not be recorded.
